Heading Uncivilized is one of many German power metal bands to emerge in the mid/late 1980s (along with Helloween, Rage, Blind Guardian, Grave Digger, etc). A b& hwhen carved its niche in a metallic globe as the number one (and probably merely) "pirate metal" band, a theme which took off by having a release of Under Jolly Roger in 1987 (thus abandoning a satanic imagery of their sooner act). A band is however active in todays world.
